Rosella Miranda is Alphaport Inc.’s owner and Chief Executive Officer. After graduating from Cleveland State University with a degree in Science and Mathematics, Ms. Miranda formed Alphaport with her husband Anthony, an aerospace engineer, by offering for a fee afterschool and summer science programs to K through 12 students. Since 1999, the Mirandas have combined their talents to further expand Alphaport’s products and services over the last 10 plus years to include space exploration technologies, advanced engineering services, and product development for government and the aerospace industry. The company has been awarded several prime federal government contracts and subcontracts with major aerospace corporations. In 2008, Alphaport was named the fastest growing private company in Northeast Ohio by Inc. magazine.
With her roots in educational outreach and the transfer of experiential knowledge, Ms. Miranda established the company’s Knowledge Management Services and Training as a core capability with KRMITS, a service offering an end-to-end turnkey process to develop knowledge-based systems that support an organization’s information assets.
Ms. Miranda is also a talented artist who worked at one time as a contractor for NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Anthony J. Miranda, Alphaport’s President and Chief Operating Officer, co-founded Alphaport, Inc., with his wife, Rosella, in 1999. Alphaport originated as a service company offering science and technology educational programs to students K through 12. Today, Alphaport is a specialized engineering company providing engineering and technology development services to aerospace-oriented organizations. The company also provides knowledge management and professional development services to government entities and private businesses. Under Mr. Miranda’s leadership, the company has won four prime contracts with NASA and the DOD since 2004, and several subcontracts with major aerospace and DOD-related companies. In 2008, Inc. magazine named Alphaport the fastest growing private company in Northeast Ohio.
Mr. Miranda earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Dayton and subsequently worked for General Electric and then for NASA. Mr. Miranda attributes his entrepreneurial mindset to the influence of his father who owned and operated a successful construction business.

Grant Illenberger is Chief Financial Officer for Alphaport, Inc. In this capacity, Mr. Illenberger oversees corporate accounting, taxes, financial planning, treasury functions, and business management.
Mr. Illenberger, who was appointed to the position in January 2010, has over 40 years of experience in business finance. During the course of his career, Mr. Illenberger has held various financial positions in both industry and public accounting.
Mr. Illenberger is a CPA earning his degree from Bowling Green State University. He has taught seminars to a variety of businesses on the topic of cost accounting.
Mr. Illenberger loves the challenges of golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
Vice President of Engineering Services

Joseph Nainiger is Alphaport Incorporated’s Vice President of Engineering Services and Product Development. In this role, Mr. Nainiger is responsible for all aspects of the business sector’s service and product delivery to NASA, other government entities, and commercial businesses. He has additional responsibility for business development, and project task management, execution, and budget oversight.
Before joining Alphaport in 2008, Mr. Nainiger worked for 34 years at the NASA Glenn Research Center serving as senior engineer, project manager, branch chief, and deputy division chief. He brings to Alphaport extensive experience in space power systems design, analysis, and technical work management; space nuclear power and propulsion; technology research management and lunar power applications.
Mr. Nainiger holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Science degree in Fluid and Thermal Sciences from Case Western Reserve University.
Mr. Nainiger has been a runner for the past 25 years and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Vice President of Knowledge Management and Training

Jennifer Jones is Vice President of Alphaport’s Knowledge Management and Training business sector. Ten years with Alphaport, Ms. Jones has a solid background in Process-Based Mission Assurance, workforce development, and Knowledge Management training programs. Under her tutelage, five sub-divisions provide educational outreach, workforce development, assurance technology, data and analysis, and knowledge-based systems development services to academia, government, the military, and private industry. Ms. Jones implemented information technology learning initiatives for NASA, which spanned all of the agency centers and facilities across the country. Her efforts were recognized with the distinguished One NASA Award for fostering knowledge management and communication.
Before joining Alphaport, Ms. Jones led the ISO 9000 certification process and performed system administration for NASA GRC’s Outsourcing Desktop Initiative.
Ms. Jones is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in education and her secondary school teaching certification.
